Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using PetHub Family, you fully accept these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part, you should not use the platform. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Modifications take effect immediately. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Service Description
PetHub Family is a digital platform that allows families to:
• Register detailed information about their pets
• Manage reminders for vaccinations, treatments, and care
• Share access with family members and caregivers
• Maintain medical and expense history
• Generate QR codes for emergency information
The platform is available via website and mobile applications on iOS and Android.
Registration and Account
To use PetHub Family you must:
• Be 18 years old or have parental consent
• Provide truthful and complete information
• Maintain password confidentiality
• Notify us of unauthorized access
We are responsible only for your own account. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including shared access you authorize.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Plans and Payments
PetHub Family offers three plans:
• Hogar Esencial (Free): 1 pet, 1 member, basic reminders.
• Hogar Plus (USD 2.99/month): 3 pets, 5 members, complete history, expense tracking.
• Hogar Prime (USD 4.99/month): 10 pets, 10 members, all features, QR, lost pet mode.
Payments & Renewal:
• Payments are processed monthly through Stripe
• Your subscription renews automatically on the same day each month
• You can change or cancel your plan at any time
• Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle
Refunds:
• We do not offer refunds for partial cycles
• If you cancel, you retain access until the end of your current payment period
Acceptable Use
You commit not to:
• Use the platform for illegal or fraudulent activities
• Harass, threaten, or insult other users
• Share false or misleading information about pets
• Attempt unauthorized system access
• Transmit viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Overload servers or disrupt services
• Sell, transfer, or share account access without consent
• Collect data from other users without permission
Violation of these rules will result in immediate account suspension or termination.
Intellectual Property
All content on PetHub Family (design, functionality, text, logos) is owned by PetHub Family or licensed. You cannot:
• Reproduce, modify, or distribute content without permission
• Use the platform to create competing products
• Register copyrights over platform content
You have the right to use the platform solely according to these terms.
User Content
When you upload content (photos, notes, pet data), you retain ownership but grant PetHub Family license to:
• Store and process your content
• Display content to family members you authorize
• Use aggregated data to improve services (without personal identification)
• Comply with legal obligations
You are not responsible for content third parties share without your permission, but you can report abuse to pethubfamily@gmail.com.
Service Availability
Although we strive for maximum availability:
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime
• We may perform emergency maintenance without prior notice
• Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 24 hours in advance
• We are not responsible for data loss during service interruptions (though we implement backups)
• We are responsible for maintaining secure backups of your data
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
• PetHub Family is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid in the last 12 months
• We are not responsible for:
- Data loss due to defective hardware
- Medical decisions based on incomplete platform information
- Damages caused by third parties
- Service interruption beyond our control
This limitation applies even if we have been warned of the possibility of such damages.
Service Termination
You can terminate your account at any time by accessing Settings > Delete Account. You will be responsible for payment until the end of your current billing period.
We may terminate your account if:
• You violate these terms of service
• You do not pay outstanding invoices after 30 days
• You use the platform for illegal activities
• You request termination and have been inactive for more than 12 months
Upon termination, we delete your personal data within 30 days, but may retain financial information as required by law.
Applicable Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia and the United States, depending on your location.
• If you are a resident of Colombia: These terms are governed by Colombian law
• If you are a resident of the United States: The laws of your state of residence apply
Before litigation:
• You agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably by contacting pethubfamily@gmail.com
• If unresolved within 30 days, you may proceed with legal action
• Any litigation will be conducted in the courts of Bogotá, Colombia or Miami, Florida (USA), as applicable
No forced arbitration or class action waivers are contemplated, but we may modify this in future updates.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PetHub Family, its founders, employees, and providers from:
• Claims for violation of these terms
• Damages caused by your content or activities
• Violation of third-party rights
• Any damage resulting from your misuse of the platform
We reserve the right to defend them at your cost in any litigation.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes are announced 30 days in advance. Your continued use after the notification period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
If you do not accept important changes, you can cancel your account without penalty.
